Meet The Staff

JASON PRIVETT

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Whaddup? It’s ya boi, J. I’m the Associate Pastor over Students, which really means I talk a lot and spike students in the face during 9 square. When I’m not dunking on a student, I’m cuddling with my dog or my awesome wife, Kirsten. I love Clash of Clans more than most people love Dutch Bros, and I get really into Broncos games, like a little too into it. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the only force on earth more powerful than a moving body of water is a group of motivated teenagers, and that’s why I’m here.

Shark or Bear?
Bear. They have as much body hair as I do.

ANDREW PERKETT

STUDENT PASTOR

Hey! My name is Andrew, or Andy Drew, or Drewdy Ann, or Agatha… don’t ask. I grew up here in Colorado Springs and I am the Student Pastor here at DCC! Most of my time is spent with our middle schoolers, and there is nothing more rewarding in the world. Outside of that, I love the Broncos and Alabama football, reading, writing, Batman, spending time with friends, being outdoors or hanging out with my wife! I love students and their potential to change our city and make a crazy impact. I’m excited to continue stepping into this journey with all our students!

Shark or Bear?
Bear. All the way. They are warm, cuddly and sleep a lot, but can also be fierce when needed!

CAYLA ALJETS

HIGH SCHOOL COORDINATOR

Hey there! I’m Cayla! I’m our High School Coordinator, which means I plan all the fun stuff we do and get people connected beyond our weekly services! I am constantly inspired by how our high schoolers love so fiercely and I honestly hope to be like them when I grow up. The only thing I love more than Parks and Recreation is San Francisco. And dogs. I really love dogs, especially big dogs. Ask me to see pictures of my favorite dogs sometime!

Shark or Bear?
Shark, for sure. I miss the ocean a bunch, plus EVERYONE is choosing bear these days.

AISLAN HAY

MIDDLE SCHOOL COORDINATOR

Hey. Hi. How’s it going? My name is Aislan (not Aslan)! I am our Middle School Coordinator. I have been volunteering with middle schoolers for the past 8 years and I will freely admit that they are my favorite group of people. When I am not at church hanging out with middle schoolers you can find me at any local coffee shop. Drinking coffee, petting dogs, hiking, hammocking, and going to the movies are just a few of my favorite things to do.

Shark or Bear?
Bears because bears are hands down the greatest animal that God has ever created.

TANNER BOOTHE

5TH & 6TH COORDINATOR

Suh dudes!! My name is Tanner and I’m the 5th and 6th Coordinator. I love seeing students find Jesus and discover their story. I have been working in student ministry for three years and wouldn’t give it up for anything. Uprising is a unique and crazy environment, so it’s awesome being able to get hype and be passionate about Jesus with our 5th and 6th graders. I love hiking, mixed martial arts, soccer, dutch bros, comic book heroes, and Star Wars.

Shark or Bear?
Shark, because Sharkboy and Lavagirl is a quality film!

JORDAN RUST

STUDENT MINISTRIES INTERN

Oh hi, I didn’t see you there, my name is Jordan. I’m the Student Ministries Intern, which means that I do all kinds of things from setting up chairs, to scheduling volunteers for Rebellion. I am kind of a nerd. I love Dungeons and Dragons, Darth Vader, Dutch Bros, dad hats, doppelgangers, dinosaurs, deli sandwiches, debates, Dippin Dots, dogs, Dr. Seuss, Drake and Josh, and Doritos. But most of all, I love hanging out with teenagers and hearing their stories. I think that teenagers get a bad rap. If you believe in and invest in a teen’s life they will meet and more often than not exceed any expectations that you could have for them.

Shark or Bear?
Bear. Fact: Bears eat beets. Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.
